Job summary

Network for Hope (NFH) in Lexington, KY is seeking a Clinical Responder to ensure timely evaluation and follow-up of eligible organ referrals. You will conduct on-site assessments, collaborate with hospital teams, and facilitate communication to support the donation process.

The role requires clinical expertise, decision-making under pressure, and professionalism with compassion. You will maintain donor records, participate in referral management from initial referral through death declaration

Qualifications

• Two years of medical/critical care or organ procurement experience.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) required.
• Strong communication and professional interaction with hospital staff.
• Ability to use Microsoft systems and charting terminology accurately.

Responsibilities

• Completes timely onsite response to hospitals for viable organ referrals.
• Conducts chart reviews and determines medical suitability for donation.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to plan referral management from initial referral through death declaration or DCD evaluation.
• Informs hospital staff on progression of referral process.
• Maintains donor information and charting documentation during assessment process.
• Aids with complaints and customer service issues and assists in corrective actions.
• Consults with on-call organ administrator and FSL staff as needed promptly.
• Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
