Job summary

Pacific Forest Trust in Portland, OR seeks a Development Associate to support donor cultivation and fundraising across individual and institutional funders. Based in Oregon, you will help analyze donor potential, coordinate meetings, maintain records, and assist in events and reporting.

You will collaborate with the Development Director and Gifts Officer, bringing strong research and communication skills, and a commitment to conservation and rural economic resilience.

Qualifications

• Two years of non-profit development fundraising experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong research, writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with donor databases or CRMs (Blackbaud RENXT or similar).
• Familiarity with wealth screening tools and corporate foundations preferred.
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork in a busy small office.

Responsibilities

• Support individual donor cultivation, research, and stewardship.
• Schedule and coordinate donor meetings, especially in Oregon/Portland.
• Maintain donor records, compile reports, and assist with events.
• Research new foundations and corporate sponsors for Oregon.
• Prepare proposals and reports for institutional funders.
• Assist in annual and quarterly fundraising reporting and communications.
