Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Geologist I–III for the Mineral Resource Management team in Elko, NV. You will design delineation drilling programs, track intercepts, and support diamond and RC drilling activities.

This full-time role requires a BS in Geology and a safety-first mindset, with 2+ years in ore control or drilling geology preferred. Strong teamwork and communication are essential, plus familiarity with core logging and common geological software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required
• 2+ years experience working as an ore control or drilling geologist preferred
• Excellent safety record required
• Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
• Familiarity with logging diamond core and RC chips preferred
• Familiarity with Leapfrog, Deswik, Vulcan, and Acquire software preferred

Responsibilities

• Design delineation drilling programs and track weekly/monthly intercepts
• Supervise and report drilling budgets and forecasts
• Compile and validate drilling data including assay results and QA/QC
• Support diamond and RC drilling through drill station inspections
• Geological logging of diamond core and RC chips and grade compilation
• Geological mapping and sampling of faces and exposures underground and on surface
• Compile mapping and assay information in 3-D software and correlate with models
• Oversee sample collection and timely delivery to lab
• Resolve routing of ore based on assays and mapping
• Prepare weekly and monthly reconciliation for model performance
