Job summary

PacSci EMC, a PacSci EMC business within Ralliant, seeks a Design Engineer in Chandler, AZ to sustain and advance ordnance product designs through production. You will work with Manufacturing, Quality, Test, and PM to solve problems and drive improvements across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include engineering analysis, documentation, drawings with GD&T, and collaboration with IPTs. Candidates with 3+ years in mechanical/ordnance design and SolidWorks experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred; Aerospace Engineering or other engineering disciplines may also be considered.
• Typically 3+ years of relevant mechanical and/or ordnance design experience.
• Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T.
• Experience using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred; equivalent CAD platforms acceptable).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Sustain, develop, and improve ordnance product mechanical designs from concept through their production lifecycle.
• Perform engineering analysis and create engineering documentation.
• Support prototype, qualification, production, and sustainment engineering activities.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to Manufacturing and Quality.
• Lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain product design configuration management records, including engineering drawings and bills of material.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams across engineering disciplines.
• Support proposal efforts and technical evaluations as required.
