Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Part-Time, 0.5 FTE housekeeping role in Olympia Fields, IL. The position involves working in the Surgical Department to clean, disinfect, and manage supplies across OR, PACU, and related units. Shift varies with 3pm-7:30pm or 4pm-8:30pm times.

Applicants should have housekeeping and stocking experience in a surgical setting; previous patient care is preferred, and BLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire. This role is on-site at Olympia Fields Hospital.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping and stocking experience in an Operating Room / Surgical Setting is required.
• Previous patient care experience is preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning, disinfecting and materials management support in the Surgical Department to facilitate safe patient care in OR, Short Procedure Unit, PACU, Sterile Processing, and other units.
• Supports direct and indirect patient care tasks across organization as needed for adult and geriatric patients.

Compensation Range: $15.00 to $20.19

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of duties relating to cleaning, disinfecting and materials management support in the Surgical Department, in order to facilitate the safe and effective provision of patient care services in the Operating Room, Short Procedure Unit, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Sterile Processing Unit and other patient units as assigned. Performs a variety of other direct and indirect patient care duties throughout the organization for adult, and geriatric patients as needed.

Qualifications

1. Housekeeping, Supply / Stocking experience in an Operating Room / Surgical Setting required.
2. Previous patient care experience preferred.
3. BLS within 30 days of hire.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $15.00 to $20.19. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
