Job summary

Holman Logistics in Spanaway, WA is hiring a Warehouse Associate for Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm with overtime as needed. You will work in a busy warehouse, performing order selection, loading, and pallet handling.

The role requires the ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks, lift and move materials, and maintain safety and accuracy. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with 1–2 years of warehouse experience and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Pushes, pulls, and steers rolling carts for order selection and loading.
  • Picks product onto a pallet; places product into a cart.
  • Operates manual, electric walkie, and riding pallet jacks.
  • Operates powered lift trucks; moves materials between areas.
  • Applies stretch-wrap and secures loads for transport.
  • Loads/unloads materials; maintains safe, accurate paperwork.
  • Maintains reliable attendance and safety compliance.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm + necessary overtime
Compensation: $21.25 + $1.00 shift differential per hour

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Pushes, pulls, and steers rolling carts throughout warehouse for order selection and loading.
  • Places product into a cart.
  • Operates a manual pallet jack by pulling, leading, and steering palletized product throughout the warehouse and into trucks.
  • Operates an electric “walkie” pallet jack by pulling, leading, and steering palletized product throughout the warehouse and into trucks.
  • Operates an electric “riding” pallet jack by pushing, pulling, leading, and steering palletized product throughout the warehouse and while loading trucks. Driving requires twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis. Operator must continually mount and dismount equipment to pick product onto pallet
  • Picks product onto a pallet requires reaching, pulling, twisting, bending, crouching, and lifting.
  • Operates a lift truck all shift (certified order selector).
  • Performs routine inspections on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refers defects or repairs to supervisor/ maintenance.
  • Moves controls to drive powered lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, load inverters, elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Applies stretch-wrap under, over, or around unitized skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
  • Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

  • Attendance - Ability to work required schedule and arrive at work on time. Ability and willingness to work the voluntary/mandatory overtime that is required during all busy seasons.

  • Mathematics- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) to two (2)s year related experience in warehouse environment.
  • Computer Skills: Basic scanner technology.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver’s License; Forklift Certification preferred.
