Overview

A Selector will pick cases and other containers of food and non-food products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets, and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack or forklift, wrapped, labeled, and prepared for shipment in a timely manner. Observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Shift: 7am-3:30 pm/until finished

Schedule: Thursdays & Saturdays Off

ROP: $16.00/hr until trained/production attainment achieved (155 cases per hour)

Production: $0.11595 per case / $0.12300 per freezer case

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Confirm picks by voice and use a scanner to enter random weight products.
• Stack cases of various shapes and weights on a pallet neatly and efficiently, fully hand wrap and tag pallets after completing each order, and transport the pallets to the correct loading door.
• Order selectors will be loading and driving the reach lift as needed.
• Maintain a minimum weekly productivity average of 155 cases/hour.
• Order selectors may be trained to perform other tasks, including but not limited to:
• Loading – scan and confirm pallets to the correct trailer and in the correct position. Check the quality of each pallet and report issues, such as damages and instability, to the supervisor.
• Stand-up lift truck operation – assist selectors by retrieving and scanning pallets from upper-level reserve slots and confirming them into lower-level pick slots.

Perform other assignments requested by the manager within the scope of the department and with proper training, as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision in a high-volume, time-sensitive warehouse environment with limited direction.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish products from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and up to approximately 100 pounds or more, depending on the location, throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments, such as coolers, freezers, and dry areas.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changes, possess a strong sense of urgency, and meet deadlines.
• Previous stand-up lift truck experience is a plus.
