Job summary

Gibraltar Building Products is seeking an Order Puller to join our Nu-Ray Metals facility in Puyallup, WA. You will read production schedules and customer orders to determine items to move, pick, and load for shipment.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 1 year of related experience, and the ability to operate forklifts and lift heavy objects in a fast-paced environment. We offer competitive pay and benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or building products is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Salesforce and Oracle/ERP systems is beneficial.

• Able to function in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Self-directed and able to contribute to a high‑performing team.
• Physical stamina to stand and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules and orders to determine items to move or pick.
• Sort and place materials according to size, type, or code.
• Operate propane and battery-powered forklifts to load/unload and move WIP and finished goods.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and prepare for packing and shipping.
• Arrange stock parts in sequence for assembly by others.
• Enter records and create tickets from customer specifications in computer systems.
• Transport items between warehouse and plant as needed.
• Maintain inventory records and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Detect and report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Description

We are seeking an Order Puller to join our team at our Nu-Ray Metals facility in Puyallup, WA. The Order Puller will work to ensure accurate and timely order entry and fulfillment of products to its end customers. The Order Puller will utilize various processes, guidelines, and systems to manage customer order activity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reading production schedule, customer, work, & shipping orders, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Operating propane and battery-powered two-way and four-way drive forklifts to load/unload and/or pick up, transport and transfer WIP and finished products
• Assembling customer orders from stock and placing orders on pallets or shelves, or conveying orders to packing station and shipping department
• Arranging stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
• Utilizing computer systems to enter records, compile worksheets, and create tickets from customer specifications
• Driving vehicles to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
• Maintaining inventory records, recording shortages, and making out location cards to forward to supervisor
• Detecting and reporting faulty equipment, defective materials, shortages, questionable data, and all other unusual conditions to proper supervisor
• Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by leadership

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year of related work experience
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or building products is beneficial
• Knowledge of Salesforce and Oracle/Avanteor other ERP is beneficial
• Motivated and positive team player
• Must be able to function in a fast-paced, demanding, ever-changing environment.
• Ability to be self-directed and contribute to a high-performing work team while being team and goal-oriented
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
