Job summary

Merit Brass is hiring an Order Processing Specialist at our Richmond Heights, OH location. You will enter and process customer orders, coordinate with internal teams, and support continuous improvement in order accuracy and timeliness.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook to manage a product/part-number matrix and workflow efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders within established order-processing timeframes.

• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for errors and gaps.
• Participate in required training and cross-training to support current responsibilities.
• Demonstrate teamwork and personal accountability while performing additional duties as assigned.
• Work overtime as business needs require and as directed by a manager or supervisor.
• Communicate professionally within the department and with cross-functional teams.

• Process error free customer purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support the timely and accurate processing of customer purchase orders.
• Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions related to errors, process gaps, and departmental performance goals.
• Participate in required training and cross-training to support current responsibilities and future role development.
• Demonstrate teamwork and personal accountability while performing additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the department supervisor.
• Work overtime as business needs require and as directed by a manager or supervisor.
• Communicate professionally and foster effective teamwork within the department and across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear speech and grammatically correct writing.
• Ability to learn, retain, and apply an extensive product and part-number matrix.
• Ability to quickly learn and effectively use computer software systems.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage workflow effectively.
• Demonstrated accuracy, focus, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Dependable work habits, including consistent attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
