Job summary

Merit Brass Company is seeking a Distribution Specialist for our Cleveland, OH location on the 2nd shift (12:00 pm-8:30 pm). The role involves picking/packing using PowerdPick and D365, receiving activities, and maintaining inventory accuracy while supporting a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of warehouse experience.
• Leadership experience with analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Able to stand, bend, reach, and lift 50–70 lbs. frequently.
• Willingness to work overtime or alternate schedules when required by a manager.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack products using PowerdPick and D365.
• Perform receiving functions, including receipt and put-away for overseas and domestic transfers.
• Assist in activities that support inventory accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Support onboarding and development of associates within designated areas.
• Strive to meet Merit Brass production metrics including safety, quality, and customer needs.
• Operate Powered Industrial Equipment following safety procedures.
• Learn product lines and corresponding identification numbers.
• Perform other duties to support overall Merit Brass Distribution.

Objectives:

• Must be able to operate all Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE) (including but not limited to pallet jacks, stand-up/sit-down tow motors, cherry pickers, Big Joe machines, cranes, Booms, etc.) by adhering to Merit's safety procedures/processes
• Ability to learn product line and corresponding identification numbers
• Perform other duties that may be assigned to support overall Merit Brass Distribution

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education
• Ability to do basic high school reading, writing, and mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Minimum of two years of warehouse experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrate success in a leadership role with analytical problem-solving abilities
• Must be able to stand, reach, bend, push, and pull bulky material for the entire shift, and capable of lifting 50-70 lbs. frequently
• Excellent work habits, including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic
• Willingness and ability to work overtime or alternate schedules when asked by a manager or supervisor
