Job summary

Petra Brands in Redlands, CA is seeking an Order Picker & Packer Section Lead to oversee daily order fulfillment across our e-commerce platforms and major retail partners.

You will guide the picking and packing section, manage throughput of 300+ orders daily, ensure accuracy and timely shipping, and lead on the shop floor without heavy machinery. This is a full-time on-site role with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in warehouse ops, high-volume e-commerce picking/packing, or retail logistics.
• Proven leadership qualities; ability to guide floor staff effectively.
• Proficiency with computer systems and shipping software for e-commerce platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations in the order picking and packing section; assign tasks and support the team.
• Oversee picking, packing and preparation of high-volume B2C and retail orders using scanners and WMS.
• Ensure strict fulfillment, labeling, and packaging standards for major partners to avoid errors.
• Monitor dispatch schedules, track SKU movements, and assist with inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean, safe on-floor environment and support workflow guidelines.

Required Experience: 2 to 4 years in warehouse operations, order picking/packing, or e-commerce fulfillment with demonstrated team lead or supervisory qualities

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Working Hours: Flexible shift: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM / 12:00 PM – 08:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $18 - $22 / hour

About The Role

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Order Picker & Packer Section Lead to oversee daily order fulfillment across our primary e-commerce platforms and major retail partners, including Walmart, Target, Kohl's, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and Faire.

In this role, you will take ownership of the picking and packing section, guiding daily throughput, maintaining quality standards for high-volume orders (300+ per day), and ensuring strict adherence to shipping timelines. You will lead by example on the floor—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and seamless team coordination without heavy machinery operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Section Leadership & Coordination: Lead and direct daily operations in the order picking and packing section; assign daily task targets and support team members to ensure smooth floor workflow.
• Order Picking & Packing Execution: Oversee and assist in accurately picking, packing, and preparing high-volume B2C and retail order fulfillments using barcode scanners and warehouse management tools.
• Retailer Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure strict fulfillment, labeling, and packaging standards for major retail and marketplace partners (Walmart, Target, Kohl's, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Faire) to eliminate shipping errors and chargebacks.
• Process & Inventory Tracking: Monitor daily dispatch schedules, track SKU movements, perform quality checks prior to carrier handoffs, and assist with inventory counts in your assigned section.
• Safety & Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe section environment while ensuring strict compliance with company safety standards and workflow guidelines. (Note: Heavy machinery/forklift operation is not required for this role).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in warehouse operations, high-volume e-commerce picking/packing, or retail logistics.
• Proven leadership qualities, strong communication skills, and the ability to guide floor staff effectively.
• Proficiency with computer systems, barcode scanners, and shipping software (e.g., ShipStation, Shippo) across e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Walmart, Target, etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and handle light-to-moderate manual sorting/packing throughout the shift.
