Job summary

Paylocity in Tinton Falls, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee the Pick & Pack team, ensuring accurate, efficient order fulfillment and on-time shipments. You will train staff, enforce safety and 5S standards, and collaborate with internal partners to optimize daily workflow.

Responsibilities include planning daily tasks, managing inventory checks, staging and labeling orders, and ensuring carrier readiness while maintaining high accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of warehouse or e-commerce fulfillment experience; lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of WMS platforms and RF/barcode scanning is preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Excel and email.
• Able to perform basic math accurately and read/write in English.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

• Pull orders accurately for internal and external customers.
• Maintain 99.5%+ order accuracy through verification scans, audits, and root-cause follow-up on mis-picks, damages, and customer complaints.
• Plan and assign daily tasks by priority, carrier cutoff, and client SLA to ensure on-time fulfillment.
• Package orders to ensure safe arrival to customers.
• Stage, label, and manifest orders for carrier pickup.
• Perform daily location maintenance.
• Perform spot counts and inventory reconciliations as needed; troubleshoot inventory discrepancies.
• Serve as the point of contact between internal departments and the Pick & Pack team.
• Train team members weekly on performance standards and procedures.
• Enforce safety procedures and 5S housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

SUMMARY

The Pick & Pack Warehouse Lead oversees the fulfillment team’s daily operations, ensuring that procedures are followed to maximize accuracy, efficiency, and on-time shipments. Flexibility to work overtime, extended shifts, and occasional weekends during peak periods is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• 1+ years of warehouse or e-commerce fulfillment experience; 1+ year in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
• Working knowledge of WMS platforms & RF/barcode scanning preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.
• Able to perform basic math accurately.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to stay calm and decisive under deadlines.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bend, reach, and climb ladders.
• Work is performed in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variation.
