Job summary

Boshart Industries in Charlotte, NC is hiring an Order Picker to efficiently pick and pack customer orders while maintaining accuracy and safety in a warehouse environment.

The role may offer cross-training into forklift/reach truck operations; candidates should be comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs, following labeling standards, and using a RF Scanner for location setup and inventory tasks. Monday–Friday shift 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Efficiently pick and pack customer orders for shipment, ensuring correct items and quantities.

• Conduct cycle counts as required.
• Use RF Scanner to set up printer locations and redirect locations as needed.
• Interpret picker notes using RF Scanner for specific products.
• Package products safely with proper skid building and labeling.

Boshart Industries is currently looking to fill the position of Order Picker. This position is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Boshart Industries is currently looking to hire an Order Picker, who is responsible for the completion and accuracy of all orders filled while maintaining a clean, organized, safe and respectful work environment. As this is an entry level position, the opportunity to be cross trained into other roles may be presented which may include forklift/reach truck training.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Efficiently pick and pack customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped
• Carry or transport orders to shipping locations with material handling equipment.
• Report quality variances
• Conduct physical inventories as required (cycle counts)
• Properly use the Radio Frequency Scanner to set up printer locations and to redirect printer locations when appropriate
• Understand and respond to pickers notes using the Radio Frequency Scanner for specific products
• Package product safely and securely (maximum of 60 lbs.) to ensure no damage during shipment by following proper skid building standards
• Effectively place necessary product to Backorder if not currently available on shelf to pick.
• Ensure proper labelling for boxes and product

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly pick cart
• Notify shipping when finished a rush or today order so it can be shipped immediately
• Cycle count when required

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical Environment: Work is conducted indoors in a standard warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures depending on the season. (100%)

Physical Effort: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Physical strength and stamina required to handle physically demanding movements like pushing, pulling, bending down and lifting of packages. Lifting 60 lb.boxes may be required occasionally.
• Some sedentary work. Requires standing or walking for a long period of time.

Sensory Attention: Requires the ability to utilize mathematical skills and the ability to coordinate hand and eyes rapidly and accurately in using equipment. (100%)

Safety Protocol: Requires wearing steel-toed shoes or boots to prevent injuries.

SHIFT: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm
