Job summary

Flock is seeking a detail-oriented Order Processing & Audit Specialist to ensure accurate order-to-cash workflows. You will audit orders in Salesforce and Google Sheets, verify billing terms, and resolve discrepancies with Sales, Success, and Finance.

This role emphasizes data integrity and clear documentation across the order lifecycle. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, maintain master data for invoicing, and identify bottlenecks to streamline daily processing.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing operations and accounts receivable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Google Sheets to process and track complex data.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel, Google Sheets pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Ability to read and interpret complex legal language, especially billing triggers and payment terms.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to audit datasets and reconcile discrepancies.

The Problem

As Flock expands across communities, our order volume and revenue processing workflows continue to scale. Connecting order execution across Sales, Customer Success, and Finance requires high operational precision, robust record auditing, and clean contract validation. You will manage daily order processing, auditing order data across Salesforce and Google Sheets to ensure seamless execution across our entire order-to-cash pipeline.

What You'll Own

• Process, validate, and audit customer orders across Salesforce and Google Sheets with high attention to detail.
• Perform routine order audits to verify billing triggers, line items, and payment terms against underlying customer contracts.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to resolve order discrepancies, billing holds, and contract questions.
• Maintain clear, accurate order documentation and master data to support smooth invoicing and revenue recognition.
• Identify operational bottlenecks in daily order workflows and help streamline processing steps.
• Manage daily order queues to ensure fulfillment timelines and internal service level agreements are consistently met.

What This Role Is Not

• This isn't a general ledger accounting role, you will collaborate with Finance, but your daily work focuses on order entry, contract auditing, and data processing rather than financial reporting or journal entries.
• This isn't an inbound customer service position, your primary touchpoints will be internal stakeholders across Sales, Operations, and Finance rather than external end-users.
• This isn't a policy-making role, your primary focus is executing and optimizing established order processing workflows with speed and accuracy.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience in billing operations and accounts receivable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, typically gained over 2 to 5 years.
• Hands-on experience working with Salesforce and Google Sheets to process and track complex operational data.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate and manipulate datasets in Excel and Google Sheets, utilizing pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas to extract insights and drive informed decision-making.
• Ability to read and interpret complex legal language, specifically focusing on billing triggers, payment terms, and government-specific clauses like Grant or FOIA implications.
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to audit datasets, catch errors, and reconcile discrepancies across internal tools.

Compensation

In this role, you'll receive a starting salary between $65,000 and $75,000 as well as Flock Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in depth with you during our first chat.

Location

Some problems get solved faster in the same room, so we prioritize candidates in Atlanta and Boston. Hub-based roles mean real in-person time with your coworkers. Remote roles exist, and when a posting is open to remote work, it says so.
