Job summary

Whitmore is seeking an Order Expediter to coordinate and monitor customer orders through the fulfillment cycle. You will work with Production, Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, and Shipping to prioritize orders and resolve delays, ensuring on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction.

You will identify bottlenecks, communicate status updates, and maintain accurate order data. A high school diploma is required; ERP and Excel experience is preferred, with an Associate degree in a related

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in order management, customer service, production planning, logistics, or manufacturing operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and order fulfillment workflows.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track customer orders throughout the fulfillment process to ensure timely processing, production, and shipment.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, and Shipping to prioritize orders and meet delivery commitments.
• Identify potential delays, material shortages, production constraints, and other bottlenecks that may impact order fulfillment.
• Proactively communicate with appropriate departments to resolve order-related issues and expedite critical or time-sensitive orders.
• Monitor inventory availability, production schedules, and shipment status to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date order information within company systems.
• Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders regarding order status, delays, and anticipated delivery dates.
