Job summary
Versa-Tags, Inc. is seeking an Order Entry Specialist to join our Customer Support team in Missouri. You will input stock and custom orders into our ERP system with speed and accuracy, ensuring production receives exact customer specifications.
This role emphasizes attention to detail, strong data-entry skills (50+ WPM), and excellent communication with customers and colleagues. Shift times are Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm and Friday 7:30am-4pm, with opportunities to assist the team as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- 1+ years of detailed data-entry experience.
- Experience entering customer product orders preferred.
- Excellent general computer skills and 50+ WPM.
- Strong phone, verbal and written communication.
Responsibilities

Shift: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm; Friday, 7:30am-4pm
As an Order Entry Specialist in our Customer Support Department, you'll help take our customers' need into our Production team to make it a reality. We work with both stock and custom orders, and you'll make sure that the orders are input quickly and accurately so that Production knows exactly what the customer desires. This is a great role for someone who loves the details, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. From our Versa-Tags Key Tag to custom graphics, you'll know our products inside and out to make sure they're entered with speed and accuracy. You may assist your fellow team members with customer calls, and will at times call the customer directly to make sure you know exactly what is needed to get everything entered into our ERP system and ready to produce.
- Use extensive knowledge of products, materials, and services we provide to achieve high customer satisfaction
- Receive, review and enter customer purchase orders (POs) by verifying item, pricing, customer and shipping information
- Resolve discrepancies by following standard processes or escalating order issues to relevant team
- Compare data with original purchase order (PO) to verify order entry is accurate and complete
- Answers phones when necessary, providing excellent service to all customers, vendors, and stakeholders
- Work with the Customer Support Supervisor and with the General Manager if needed to ensure proper customer service is being delivered, and elevate issues or complaints appropriately.
- Inform customers of deals and promotions
- Take payment information and other pertinent customer account information, and enter/update in ERP system
- Enter all types of orders but not limited to: Approvals, reorders, stock and custom stock
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma
- 1+ years of relevant experience processing detailed data entry
- Experience entering customer product orders preferred
- Tech savvy, with strong general computer skills.
- 50+ WPM data entry with unquestionable accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to quickly and accurately enter data into Company databases
- Ability to maintain structured focus and productivity for long periods of time
- Ability to work under pressure and react quickly
- Strong phone, verbal, and written communication skills, with a focus on quality service and professionalism with all customers and coworkers
- Active listening capability
- Ability to evolve with an ever-changing environment
- Ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer/keyboard skills; experience with Epicor ERP a plus
