Order Entry Pharmacy Technician - 2nd shift

Enters incoming orders for pharmacy services, informs customers of receipt, pricing, shipping dates, and delays of orders, and responds to customer inquiries.

Hours: 2nd shift hours.

Duties:

• Enters customers' names, addresses, billing information, product numbers, and specifications into the order entry system.
• Verifies and enters physician information.
• Enters new medication orders and refills.
• Sorts, correlates, and distributes copies from fax machines.
• Responds to customer complaints and issues, forwarding escalated concerns to the supervisor.
• Verifies customer and order information for accuracy.
• Assists in the preparation and shipment of orders.
• Checks inventory for availability.
• Reviews orders for completeness and forwards incomplete orders for further processing.
• Supports departmental goals and complies with all laws and standards.

Requirements:

• Proficient math skills
• Preferred Pharmacy Technician experience/license
• Computer knowledge
• Customer service and telephone etiquette skills
• Able to sit for long periods
