Job summary
Pioneer Industries in Carlstadt, NJ, is seeking an Order Drafting Specialist to interpret customer requirements and produce precise manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD-based systems. You will also modify designs, prepare layouts, and assemble material kits for manufacturing with strong attention to SDI standards and fabrication feasibility.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years drafting in manufacturing, experience with templates, and solid math skills.
Qualifications
- Five (5+) years of drafting/detailing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with standard drafting practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret hardware templates.
- Strong math skills including Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry.
Responsibilities
- Interpret customer requirements and create detailed manufacturing drawings using templates and AutoCAD-based systems.
- Modify existing product designs to meet customer needs and SDI standards.
- Create layouts, details, and material kits for release to manufacturing.
- Determine all custom product components for shop drawings and support installation processes.
- Provide technical support to Customer Service, Manufacturing, and customers to resolve issues promptly.
