Job summary

Jobtailor in New Jersey seeks an experienced draftsman/detailer to translate customer needs into detailed manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor. You will read blueprints, prepare templates, and collaborate with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities include modifying designs, creating layouts and material kits for manufacturing, and supporting internal customers while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years drafting/detailing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
• Strong math skills (algebra, trigonometry, geometry).
• Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Diploma in Mechanical Technology or Engineering Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements and create detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Modify designs to meet customer needs and SDI standards.
• Prepare layouts, details, and material kits for release to manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to Customer Service and Manufacturing.
• Identify process-improvement opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain appropriate metrics and KPIs and ensure timely delivery.
