Job summary

Carboline, a St. Louis-based coatings manufacturer, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to own the full order lifecycle—from entry to production, shipment, and billing. You will ensure accuracy, improve efficiency, and deliver exceptional service to customers.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer service experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. This desk-based role involves extensive computer use and collaboration with multiple internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and manage customer orders from multiple channels, ensuring correct pricing, product details, and shipping terms.
• Coordinate production, scheduling, and shipments; partner with expediting teams to prioritize and meet delivery timelines.
• Monitor order progress and proactively communicate updates or changes to customers and sales teams.
• Collaborate with production and internal teams to resolve issues and meet customer expectations.
• Support inventory planning by recommending stock adjustments based on sales direction.
• Ensure compliance with company policies related to pricing, credits, freight, commissions, and quality standards.
• Process returns (RGAs) and credit memos efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain strong product and systems knowledge.
• Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
