Job summary

gpac is seeking an Orchard Manager to own day-to-day operations of a growing commercial orchard in Wisconsin. This year-round leadership role oversees pruning, planting, tree care, and harvest, coordinating labor to keep schedules on track.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on orchard experience, manage 50-60+ acres, ensure safety, optimize resources, and lead a team with strong communication and organizational skills. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Strong agricultural background with direct commercial orchard experience.
• Experience managing or working within an orchard operation of ~50-60+ acres.
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to work alongside the team.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to plan seasonal activities and coordinate labor.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day orchard operations, coordinate labor, and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Direct winter pruning, spring planting, pesticide applications, summer tree maintenance, and fall harvest.
• Monitor tree health and development, establish new trees, and apply ongoing care.
• Coordinate teams and resources to provide direction and necessary tools.
