Orchard Manager

Salary: $65,000-$85,000 | Year-Round Leadership Opportunity | Relocation Considered

Grow More Than an Orchard-Build Its Future.

Are you an agricultural professional who knows what it takes to grow a successful commercial orchard? This is an opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day orchard operations, lead a team, and help shape the future of an actively growing orchard.

Unlike seasonal positions, this is a year-round leadership role overseeing the complete growing cycle-from winter pruning and spring planting to summer tree care and fall harvest. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on orchard experience, strong agricultural knowledge, and the leadership skills to keep operations productive, organized, and on schedule throughout the year.

If you're ready to put your orchard expertise to work and make a lasting impact, this opportunity may be the next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Daily Orchard Operations: Oversee day‑to‑day activities, coordinate labor, and ensure orchard work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Manage Seasonal Activities: Direct winter pruning and orchard preparation, spring planting and pesticide applications, summer tree maintenance, and fall harvest operations.
  • Oversee Tree Health and Development: Monitor orchard health, support successful establishment of new trees, and implement ongoing tree care practices.
  • **Coordinate Teams and Resources: Provide hands‑on leadership, organize workloads, and ensure the team has the direction and resources needed to succeed.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications

What's in It for You? Ready to Grow Your Career?

  • Plan and Execute Orchard Work: Develop seasonal work plans, adjust priorities as conditions change, and maintain productivity throughout the growing season.
  • Support Continued Growth: Help guide the development of an actively expanding orchard, balancing the needs of established trees with new plantings.
  • Maintain Operational Standards: Promote safe work practices, effective use of equipment and resources, and consistent execution of orchard activities.
  • Strong agricultural background with direct commercial orchard experience.
  • Experience managing or working within an orchard operation of approximately 50-60+ acres.
  • Working knowledge of pruning, planting, pesticide applications, tree maintenance, orchard health, and harvesting.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in an orchard or agricultural operation.
  • Ability to plan seasonal activities, coordinate labor, and manage changing priorities.
  • Hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside the team when needed.
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to oversee operations throughout the full growing cycle.
  • Relocation assistance or consideration may be available for the right candidate.
  • Competitive salary of $65,000-$85,000, based on experience.
  • Year‑round employment offering stability beyond seasonal orchard work.
  • Leadership responsibility for daily operations and the team supporting them.
  • The opportunity to contribute directly to an orchard that is actively planting, expanding, and growing.
  • Ownership of the complete orchard lifecycle, from winter preparation through fall harvest.
  • A hands‑on leadership position where your agricultural knowledge and decisions make a visible difference.
  • Relocation considered for a qualified candidate.

If you have the orchard experience to lead operations, the agricultural knowledge to make informed decisions, and the drive to help an orchard reach its full potential, we'd welcome the opportunity to connect.

The right opportunity should offer more than a paycheck-it should give you the chance to lead, grow, and leave your mark.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
