Job summary

gpac is seeking an outdoor, hands-on leader to run an irrigation operation. You will own day-to-day operations, coordinate crews, equipment, schedules and customer updates, while upholding quality and safety standards.

This role blends field problem-solving with the business side of the operation, requiring 4+ years irrigation experience, CDL, and proven ability to lead teams across multiple sites. Travel between job sites and extra hours during busy seasons are expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of irrigation experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Pivot irrigation experience is a strong plus.
• Experience operating and maintaining irrigation equipment.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and develop crews.
• CDL and ability to obtain/maintain required DOT medical certification.
• Ownership mindset—proactive and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day irrigation operations and production.
• Plan weekly scheduling, crew assignments and equipment.
• Lead crews, train, and ensure accountability.
• Manage labor hours, productivity and project performance.
• Ensure job-site quality and safety.
• Plan equipment and materials.
• Communicate with customers and provide project updates.
• Coordinate with sales and other operations teams.
• Maintain documentation and billing information.
• Identify ways to improve operation efficiency.
