Job summary

Stemilt Ag Services LLC seeks a Crew Supervisor to supervise and coordinate crews engaged in cultivating, pruning, spraying, thinning, propping, and harvesting tree crops. Supervisors will manage 1+ subordinate crews, with 1–25 Stemilters, and ensure adherence to company policies and laws while delivering extraordinary customer service.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning and assigning work, appraising performance, disciplining, and addressing issues as they arise.

• Experience leading agricultural crews.
• Ability to plan and assign daily tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Discuss and coordinate orchard activities and harvesting to meet production goals.
• Assign trees, rows, or blocks of trees to workers.
• Plan schedules and employee assignments with management.
• Assign workers in spacing, thinning, irrigating, fertilizing, spraying, pruning, and harvesting fruit.
• Inspect harvested fruit for bruises, maturity, and defects.
• Oversee humidity/temperature and cultivation procedures for quality.
• Drive/operate heavy machinery (dump truck, tractor, tiller).
• Prepare daily worker hours and production tallies.
• Interpret policies to Stemilters and enforce safety regulations.
• Increase efficiency by adjusting workflows and equipment use.
• Analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers.
• Monitor operations to ensure progress and problem resolution.
• Contribute to team and company as needed.
