Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking experienced welders to support Orbital Tube Welding for the New Glenn rocket at our Merritt Island facility. You will work on-vehicle welding operations, including assembly steps in propellant tanks and related systems, with focus on safety and quality.

Role requires the ability to read aerospace drawings, operate orbital welding equipment, and collaborate with engineers to optimize tooling and fixtures. Overtime may be required, and relocation is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Orbital welding experience highly preferred.
• Experience in aerospace or related fields.
• Ability to read and understand aerospace 2D/3D drawings.
• Experience with various thin wall alloys (316 SS, Inco 625, CRES 21-6-9, Monel, Titanium).

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install hydraulic, pneumatic and propellant tubing.
• Review, edit and follow work instructions for assembly tasks.
• Plan and communicate assembly steps for complex mechanical installations.
• Safely work with hazardous systems, containing chemicals and/or high pressure.
• Be able to hand fit and tack weld parts together with TIG welding as required.
• Setup, operate, and maintain orbital tube welding equipment.
