Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Orbital Analyst to perform orbital analyses, track satellite positions, and interpret data to support space missions and safeguard assets. You will identify anomalies, prepare technical briefs, and collaborate with operations and analysts across teams.

The role emphasizes strong scripting, space surveillance knowledge, and the ability to convey complex results to clients and leadership. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with a scripting language such as shell, Perl, or Python.
• Knowledge of space surveillance and tracking systems, such as radar and optical sensors.
• Ability to compile and analyze statistics based on current space object population.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Education/experience mix as listed (associates/bachelor/master with corresponding years).

Responsibilities

• Conduct orbital analysis and data interpretation to monitor satellite positions and trajectories.
• Identify anomalies in satellite behavior and communicate findings clearly.
• Brief clients and management on analysis results and recommendations.
• Collaborate with operations, engineers, and analysts to advance target development efforts.
