Oral Surgery Partners’ Associated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in Peoria, IL is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the oral surgery team. The role focuses on patient safety, perioperative support, and postoperative care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with BLS, has surgical or perioperative experience, and demonstrates strong assessment and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (ADN or BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS, sedation/anesthesia, or other advanced certifications preferred.
• Previous nursing experience in surgical, perioperative, Med/Surg, or critical care settings highly preferred.
• Strong patient assessment, clinical documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and quality care.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical support and patient care before, during, and after oral surgery procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and postoperative recovery.
• Start, maintain, and discontinue IVs and administer medications as ordered.
• Assist with surgical procedures, sedation monitoring, and patient recovery.
• Perform patient assessments, blood draws, glucose testing, and PRP procedures.
• Read and interpret EKG strips.
• Safely recover and discharge patients following procedures.
• Provide patients with clear pre- and postoperative education and instructions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
• Support infection control, medication management, emergency preparedness, and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons and clinical team members to maintain an efficient workflow and high standard of care.
