Carle Health in Urbana, IL is seeking an experienced Procedural Nurse for Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. The role involves supporting conscious sedation, IV placement, and chemotherapy administration, with careful documentation and ongoing patient education.

You will assess health history, reconcile medications, and revise plans as needed to ensure safe, effective care. Imaging (2D/3D) is performed to facilitate optimal surgical planning, alongside pre- and post-operative education and coordination

Qualifications

• Certifications: PALS within 1 year - AHA; BLS within 30 days - AHA; ACLS within 1 year - AHA.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with IL IDFPR license.
• Education: College Diploma in Nursing required.

Responsabilités

• Provides competent health care to patients and families per scope of practice.
• Assists with procedures using conscious sedation; places IVs; administers chemotherapy.
• Ensures care documentation is complete and accurate; performs education.
• Offers health and wellness education to individuals and groups; acts as preceptor.
• Supports leadership initiatives to improve care quality and outcomes.
• Assesses health history, performs medication reconciliation, and reviews plan of care.
• Performs telephone triage and addresses patient concerns by phone.
• Conducts pre- and post-operative education; performs 2D/3D imaging as needed.
