Job summary

NHOMS | MassOMS seeks a Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons and keep the clinic running smoothly. Training will be provided for candidates from LPNs, Medical Assistants, CNAs, and related roles.

Responsibilities include chairside assistance, room prep/sterilization, infection control, radiography, and patient instruction. Requires CPR and radiology certification; NH MedTech and relevant licenses may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPR certification and radiology certification or obtain within 6 months.
• Prior dental/oral surgery experience preferred but training is provided.
• Familiarity with dental practice management tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside during dental surgical procedures.
• Prepare, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Ensure infection control and HIPAA compliance.
• Capture radiographs and document patient records accurately.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient instructions.
• Maintain thorough patient charting for continuity of care.
