Job summary

NHOMS | MassOMS is seeking a Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons and help run a clean, safe clinic focused on patient care. The ideal candidate will have CPR and radiology certification or the ability to obtain them within six months, NH MedTech for NH assistants, and MA license for MA assistants.

Qualifications

• CPR certification to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
• Radiology certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• NH MedTech (for NH Assistants only).
• MA Dental Assisting License (for MA Assistant only).
• DAANCE certification is preferred, or ability to achieve it within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside proficiently during a diverse range of dental surgical procedures.
• Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments to maintain optimal hygiene standards.
• Ensure strict compliance with infection control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations, guaranteeing a safe and secure environment for both patients and staff.
• Capture high-quality radiographic images and maintain meticulous documentation of patient records.
• Provide patients with comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care instructions to enhance their overall experience and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient charting for effective record-keeping and continuity of care.
