Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets and directs patients, provides routine information, and escorts patients to the service area.
• Prepares room and instruments for the scheduled procedure.
• Takes, checks, and files diagnostic radiographs and dental impressions; produces study models.
• Provides technical assistance during oral and plastic surgery procedures under local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and/or IV sedation; monitors vital signs.
• Provides patients/parents with written post-operative care instructions.
• Cleans, sterilizes, and maintains instruments and equipment; ensures operatory is clean for examinations.
