Job summary

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic CPR Certification.
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) by DANB preferred.
• Up to one year of basic technical education or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Greets and guides patients, provides routine procedure information, and escorts to the service area.
• Prepares room and instruments; ensures materials are ready for use.
• Takes and saves diagnostic radiographs and dental impressions; produces study models.
• Assists during oral/plastic surgery under local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, or IV sedation.
• Provides post-operative written instructions to patients/parents.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments and maintains operatory cleanliness.
