Qualifications

• Prior dental-assistance experience required.
• Oral surgery or surgical-dental assisting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization, infection control and surgical-room prep.
• Florida radiography or expanded-function credentials highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during dental and oral surgical procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials and equipment.
• Review patient medical histories and obtain appropriate vital signs.
• Support the surgeon through preoperative, procedural, and postoperative care.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control protocols.
• Clean, sterilize, organize and maintain surgical instruments.
• Take dental radiographs when trained and certified.
• Educate patients on preoperative prep and postoperative instructions.
• Help patients stay comfortable, informed and supported during visits.
• Document clinical information in the practice-management system.
• Monitor inventory and maintain clinical/surgical supplies.
• Coordinate with clinical and front-office teams for efficient patient experience.
