This role provides an opportunity to observe, train, and participate in clinical duties under supervision, such as setting up for minor surgical procedures, assisting during procedures, instrument processing, and room turnover.

Job Duties:

1. Set up for non-sterile and sterile procedures with appropriate instruments, equipment, and supplies (under supervision).
2. Assist the surgeon during minor surgical procedures, including suctioning, retracting, passing instruments, and providing airway support under supervision until core competencies are met.
3. Circulate during surgical procedures, completing necessary EMR entries, paperwork, logs, etc.
4. Perform other procedures as directed, such as capturing radiographs, taking/pouring dental impressions, capturing intraoral digital scans, removing surgical splints, fitting splints, removing sutures, and placing packs.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Current BLS certification.
3. Infection control training.
4. Sterile processing certification or experience.
5. Dental Radiography certification.
6. Successful completion of an approved nitrous oxide course.
7. IV/Phlebotomy certification.
8. Continuing education related to anesthesia.
