New Jersey Center for Oral Surgery in Caldwell, NJ, is seeking a skilled Oral Surgery Team Member – Surgical Assistant to join our team. You will work alongside experienced oral surgeons in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your skills matter daily.

The role emphasizes assisting with extractions, implants, bone grafting, radiography, and maintaining sterile fields while educating patients on post-op care and safety. A strong chairside manner and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant preferred.
• Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Familiarity with dental radiography and X-ray certification.
• Strong chairside manner and excellent patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and bone grafting.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instrument trays.
• Monitor and support patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures.
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Document patient records, treatment notes, and post-operative instructions accurately.
• Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment per OSHA and infection control protocols.
• Educate patients on post-operative care and answer procedural questions.
