Job description

Paragon Cyber Solutions has immediate and future openings for those ready for an exciting and dynamic career as a System Engineer (Solaris / Oracle) while supporting critical global operations.

Support this critical mission by providing a globally accessible enterprise information infrastructure that directly supports joint warfighters and national-level leaders across the full spectrum of military operations.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of provisioning and patching Solaris zones, as well as a thorough understanding of Oracle database principles and commands.

Clearance

Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

Responsibilities

1. Operating Oracle Databases in Oracle Solaris 11 environments.
2. Installing Solaris 11 Support Repository Updates (SRU) and Interim Diagnostics and Relief (IDR) patches.
3. Effectively managing client projects independently, including phone calls and meetings as required.
4. Delivering high-quality work within reasonable turnaround times.
5. Applying problem-solving skills and adaptability.
6. Exercising strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

Mandatory:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or work experience.
• Experience with Oracle Database 19c Administration in UNIX environments.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience with Oracle 19c, Solaris 11, Database Tables, Data Guard Replication, and Logical Migration.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISA).
