Job summary

ISite Technologies Inc in Albany, NY seeks a seasoned BI/Data Analyst to develop and optimize Oracle SQL solutions for the NYWIC program. You will query Production NYWIC data, build reusable scripts, and support data analysis and reporting efforts.

You will collaborate with DOH staff, NYWIC Datamart team, and vendors to map data, document test scripts, and assist in UAT, ensuring adherence to standards and delivering reliable reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 84 months of experience creating software documentation.
• Minimum 48 months of experience preparing or facilitating testing scenarios.
• Minimum 36 months creating user documentation such as guides or training.
• 36 months using OBIEE with end user experience.
• 84 months meeting with business staff to elicit requirements.
• 84 months analyzing or troubleshooting Oracle reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and run Oracle SQL queries against Production NYWIC database schema on request.
• Build and maintain a library of reusable SQL queries for recurring requests.
• Help program staff understand NYWIC data structures for new report needs.
• Develop ad-hoc queries in the NYWIC Datamart OBIEE system with guidance.
• Collaborate with Datamart team, staff and vendor to map NYWIC data to Datamart.
• Participate in documenting regression test scripts for user acceptance testing.
• Provide general support for user acceptance testing efforts.
• Work with ITS and Program managers to follow standard policies and procedures.

Job description

Day-to-Day Tasks ---

1. Develop, test and execute Oracle SQL queries against the schema of the
   Production NYWIC database upon request, for program validation and data analysis
2. Develop and maintain a library of SQL queries that can be executed on a recurring
   basis with different parameters, for similar requests
3. Assist DOH program staff in understanding NYWIC data structures within the
   NYWIC modules, for developing new report requirements
4. Assist DOH program staff in developing new ad-hoc queries within the NYWIC
   Datamart OBIEE system, using defined user guidelines and additional guidance
   from the NYWIC Datamart team as needed
5. Work with NYWIC Datamart team members, program staff, and the NYWIC
   application vendor as needed to develop a knowledgebase of system data
   mappings between the NYWIC application and the Datamart, for program
   assistance
6. Participate in review and/or documentation of regression test scripts for user
   acceptance testing
7. Provide general support for user acceptance testing efforts
8. Work closely with ITS and Program managers to ensure adherence to standard
   policies and procedures

• Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related field, from an accredited institution.
• 48 months of experience analyzing, optimizing Oracle SQL queries and improving database performance
• 84 months of experience creating SQL queries and stored procedures using Oracle PL/SQL
• 84 months of experience meeting with business staff to elicit business requirements
• 84 months of experience working with business staff or end users to analyze or troubleshoot Oracle reports
