Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking a PL/SQL Developer in New York, NY to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications with Oracle PL/SQL and Shell scripting. The role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with fast-paced technology teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

This is a 6-month, full-time contract with a hybrid schedule (onsite Tue-Thu). Pay ranges from $42 to $60 per hour, plus medical, dental, vision, ESOP and 401K benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with Oracle PL/SQL development
• Strong Shell Scripting experience (Bash/KornShell)
• Experience developing and maintaining database-driven applications
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• Experience with version control tools, including GitHub
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
• Create and maintain shell scripts for automation and deployment
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Troubleshoot defects and performance issues
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance across the SDLC
• Support production systems and provide technical expertise
