Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a skilled Oracle developer for a 12-18 month hybrid role in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. The candidate will implement large-scale databases in Oracle, develop PL/SQL packages and procedures, and work with front-end developers in an agile environment.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, code reviews, mentoring across teams, and CI/CD migrations using Horizon/BitBucket/Artifactory. Local candidates only, hybrid schedule (3 days onsite).

• Proven track record delivering enterprise databases in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and SQL in Oracle 19c/21c.
• Perform performance tuning of SQL/PL/SQL code.
• Collaborate with front end developers and other agile teams.
• Migrate to CI/CD platforms (Horizon/BitBucket/Artifactory).
• Provide code reviews and mentoring across teams.

Job description

Location: Charlotte NC, Plano TX (Hybrid - 3daysonsite); Looking for local candidates

Duration: 12-18 months (possibility of conversion)

PAY: $60-65/hour W2; Not available for C2C & canNOT sponsor.

Requirements

• Developing database utilities using PL/SQL for large databases is a must.
• Must have a proven track record in implementing large databases in oracle.
• Must have good experiences working with front end developers.
• Must have skills in contributing to enterprise project deliveries preferably within a financial institution.
• Experience with object databases and other relational databases is preferred.
• Experience working in agile environment with ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements and work independently
• Must have strong experience in Oracle packages, procedures, functions, analytics functions.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements in Oracle 19c/21c.
• Performance Tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL, PL /SQL code.
• Maintain re-useable development standards that help implement each solution and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs
• Strong facilitation and communication skills - both verbal and written - is a must
• Demonstrated experience providing code reviews and mentoring across multiple agile teams
• Experience migrating to CI/CD with SDM platform (Horizon/BitBucket /Artifactory/etc)
• Reads code in multiple languages and inspects infrastructure in order to thoroughly understand current state before requesting or implementing changes
• Agile methodology JIRA story grooming execution
• Understand clients requirements (stories), come up with the story level design and translate into deliverables.
• Ability to learn business processes and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks.
