Job summary

Dexian is seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL developer to support production systems in the financial services domain, with 8+ years in Oracle PL/SQL and 5+ years in finance.

The role emphasizes complex SQL, ETL, data modeling, and performance tuning, in a Linux/Unix environment, with Agile teams and AWS exposure. Collaboration with business and tech stakeholders is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL in production systems.
• 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Direct experience in Capital Markets, preferably Prime Services or Securities Lending.
• Strong command of financial data models, workflows, and industry terminology.
• Advanced Oracle RDBMS expertise: complex SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Performance tuning for complex SQL and PL/SQL workloads.
• Experience designing and supporting high-volume ETL processes (e.g., SQL*Loader).
• Strong data modeling and schema design experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills on real financial datasets.
• Linux/Unix environments and command-line proficiency.
• Experience delivering work in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with tech and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Own performance tuning for complex SQL/PLSQL workloads.
• Design and support high-volume ETL processes and data models.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer supporting production systems
• 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry

• Strong command of financial data models, workflows, and industry terminology
• Advanced Oracle RDBMS expertise, including: Complex SQL queryingStored procedures, functions, triggers, and viewsObject and user privilege management
• Demonstrated ownership of performance tuning for complex SQL and PL/SQL workloads
• Proven experience designing and supporting high-volume ETL processes (e.g., SQL*Loader or equivalent)
• Strong experience with database modeling and schema design
• Ability to work effectively with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and to develop and/or work with AI agents
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, applied to real financial datasets
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments with command-line proficiency
• Experience delivering work in Agile/Scrum teams
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technology and business teams
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions, from requirements through production support
• Clear, direct communication skills with both engineers and business stakeholders
• Working knowledge of Core Java and/or Python
• Experience with enterprise job schedulers (e.g., Control-M)
• AWS cloud exposure, particularly supporting database or data-platform workloads
• Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly in complex, data-intensive domains
