Job summary

Deloitte seeks an experienced Oracle Payroll Lead - Senior Consultant to join our Project Delivery Model. You will lead Tier 2/3 support for Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, own incident and change management, and coordinate with engagement managers and cross-functional teams to drive improvements for on-site client delivery.

You will mentor analysts, manage vendor relationships with Oracle, and produce runbooks and dashboards to sustain operational excellence. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience supporting Oracle HCM Cloud US Payroll in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of HCM business processes and ability to translate policy into configuration and outcomes.
  • Experience leading a support team or functional lead in AMS or internal support model.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and escalation judgment.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel 10% on average.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Tier 2/3 application support for Oracle HCM Cloud (e.g., Benefits, Payroll).
  • Own incident management: triage, prioritization, stakeholder communication, escalation, and SLA adherence.
  • Drive problem management: root cause analysis, recurring issue elimination, defect backlog management, and knowledge base development.
  • Govern change management: configuration controls, approvals, release impact assessment, regression testing coordination, deployment readiness.
  • Oversee Oracle Monthly and quarterly updates: review release notes, plan testing, coordinate remediation, and manage configuration areas.
  • Payroll Year End Support.
  • Monitor and support integrations (inbound/outbound), including error handling and reconciliation (HDL, Reporting).
  • Lead/manage vendor support cases with Oracle and third parties; ensure timely resolution and documentation.
  • Produce operational artifacts: runbooks, support playbooks, SOPs, dashboards, and control documentation.
  • Mentor and manage support analysts; define on-call/coverage models and maintain quality.
  • Communicate with Engagement Managers, project teams, and client representatives; escalate as needed.
  • Lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement and transformation of processes.

Work you'll do/Responsibilities
  • Lead Tier 2/3 application support for Oracle HCM Cloud (e.g., Benefits, Payroll ).
  • Own incident management: triage, prioritization, stakeholder communication, escalation, and SLA adherence
  • Drive problem management: root cause analysis, recurring issue elimination, defect backlog management, and knowledge base development.
  • Govern change management: configuration controls, approvals, release impact assessment, regression testing coordination, and deployment readiness.
  • Oversee Oracle Monthly and quarterly updates: review release notes, identify impacts, plan testing, and coordinate remediation. Manage functional configuration areas (e.g., business processes, workflows/approvals, eligibility rules, fast formulas where applicable, security roles, data validations).
  • Payroll Year End Support
  • Monitor and support integrations (inbound/outbound), including error handling and reconciliation (e.g., identity management, benefits carriers, payroll interfaces, ERP/finance, reporting/analytics), HDL, Reporting
  • Lead/manage vendor support cases with Oracle and third parties; ensure timely resolution and clear documentation.
  • Produce operational artifacts: runbooks, support playbooks, SOPs, monitoring dashboards, and control documentation.
  • Mentor and manage support analysts; define on-call/coverage models and ensure consistent support quality.
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $ 100,000 to $158,000.
  • You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
