Job summary

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to support Oracle, OCI, and other platforms across the agency’s data platforms. You will design, implement, and optimize database environments, ensuring reliability, security, and scalable solutions in a multi-platform setting including Oracle, SQL Server, IMS, and Db2.

Qualifications

• 60 months of combined work experience in database design, high availability, or related areas.
• 12 months of experience with Oracle as the primary technology.
• Experience implementing security controls in database environments.
• Ability to lead incident resolution and disaster recovery planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage Oracle database environments including Data Guard Broker and Oracle GoldenGate processes.
• Virtualize infrastructure running Unix, Linux, and IBM AIX operating systems.
• Design, develop, and integrate highly complex database systems for internal and external users/clients.
• Plan and implement capacity and resource expansion to ensure scalability of databases.
• Lead incident resolution and disaster recovery planning with appropriate teams.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, access controls, and best practices.
