Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an Oracle Exadata DBA for a 6-month engagement in Minneapolis, MN. You will manage and administer Oracle databases on the Exadata platform, performing installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades, and monitoring performance for high availability and scalability.

The role also includes backup, recovery, disaster recovery, RCA for incidents, security/compliance, and collaboration with application teams on design, performance tuning, and integration.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c and related tooling.
• Experience with Exadata architecture and Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning.
• Solid Linux/Unix background and shell scripting skills.
• Experience with capacity planning and database migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Oracle databases on the Exadata platform.
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Monitor database performance and optimize for high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and perform RCA for incidents.
