Job summary

SOMERSET STAFFING in Chicago, IL seeks a Business Analyst III for a hybrid role with 2 days in the office. The position centers on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and ERP modernization, blending functional analysis with AI/ML opportunities to improve decision-making and digital transformation.

You will partner with developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories, define acceptance criteria, and help groom the product backlog for incremental value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of functional experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant with Oracle EBS.
• 5+ years in Agile environments creating and managing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• 5+ years of end-to-end requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and solution deployment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a functional SME for Oracle EBS Financial modules, handling configurations, process flows, and testing.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements, translating them into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specs.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to define AI/ML use cases, model requirements, and data pipelines.
• Act as a bridge between functional users, Oracle EBS teams, and AI/ML development teams.
• Assist in maintaining, refining, and grooming the product backlog, supporting sprint planning and release management.
• Coordinate small to mid-scale project efforts independently and support change management for AI adoption.
