Job description

1) Responsible for the setup, patching, debugging, upgrading, and installation of Oracle database software and applications.

2) Execute test plans or parts of test plans assigned by the client's QA engineer.

3) Document test results.

4) File bugs according to the client's process.

5) Verify bug fixes and close bugs as per the client's process.

6) Size the work and provide task estimates.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a dual role of Oracle DBA and QA.

1) 4-5 years of system administration experience in Linux/Unix and AIX operating systems.

2) Experience with installation of Oracle DB 11g/12c, Enterprise Manager 12c, RMAN, ASM, and Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).

3) Experience testing with SAN and NAS storage.

General Requirements:

4) Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Bash).

NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

1) At least 2 years of prior work experience as part of a virtual engineering team.

2) Experience working independently with minimal supervision from a remote team.
