Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience administering Oracle database installations, upgrades, configuration and tuning.
• Proven ability to monitor and maintain multiple Oracle DB instances.
• Comfort working with EBIS on AIX and Java client proxies.

Responsibilities

• Oracle DBA - Administration of database systems including installation, upgrades, configuration, consolidation, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance
• Oracle Admin - 7 instances of EBIS 11 on AIX
• Platform troubleshooting only; no support of the Oracle EBIS application itself
• Mix of Oracle Java clients and Redhat Java proxy clients
• Periodic maintenance tasks on Oracle systems (stuck jobs, restarting services on proxy server, weekly reboots, etc)
• Platform troubleshooting
