Job summary

MACHINE LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES LLC is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage Oracle 18c/19c databases in a large Unix/Linux environment. The role requires upgrading, patching, performance tuning, RAC/ASM, and GoldenGate implementations across data centers.

The candidate will work with multiple application and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability and reliable backups using IBM Tivoli or similar tools.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on experience in Oracle 18c/19c, database upgrades, patching, performance tuning, RAC, ASM, and database migration. The candidate should have experience managing large enterprise databases in Unix/Linux environments.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database 18c and 19c.
• Experience with IBM AIX, Linux, and Sun Solaris Unix operating systems.
• Experience applying PSU patches to Oracle databases.
• Database upgrades to Oracle 19c.
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate implementation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting multi-node Oracle RAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of Automatic Storage Management (ASM), including instance creation and troubleshooting.
• Experience upgrading and migrating large databases across data centers.
• Strong database performance tuning and bottleneck analysis skills.
• Good understanding of Oracle database architecture.
• Experience configuring and supporting third-party backup solutions such as IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM).
• Ability to support multiple application and infrastructure teams across ongoing projects.
