Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA for a full-time opportunity in Salem, Oregon. The role administers, monitors, and supports Oracle databases across multiple versions and technologies including GoldenGate, Exadata, RAC/ASM, and Data Guard, with a focus on HA/DR and security.

You will manage RMAN backups, performance tuning with AWR/ASH/ADDM, and work with applications, infrastructure, and cloud teams during deployments and migrations.

Competenze

• 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with GoldenGate, Exadata, RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• Proficient in RMAN backups, OEM monitoring, and SQL tuning.
• Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical production environments.
• Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience in banking/financial services or regulated environments preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support Oracle Database environments (11g/12c/19c/21c).

• Manage and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication (Uni-directional and Bi-directional environments).

• Administer and support Oracle Exadata infrastructure and databases.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments.

• Perform database installation, upgrades, patching, migration, cloning, and refresh activities.

• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and OEM.

• Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and perform disaster recovery testing.

• Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Data Guard.

• Support production incidents, service requests, problem management, and root cause analysis.

• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams during deployments and migrations.

• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell Scripting and Oracle utilities.

• Ensure database security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Qualifications:

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Oracle Database Administration: 10+ years

• Oracle GoldenGate: Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Performance Tuning

• Oracle Exadata: Administration, Monitoring, Patching, Performance Optimization

• Oracle RAC

• Oracle ASM

• Oracle Data Guard / Active Data Guard

• RMAN Backup & Recovery

• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments is preferred.

The salary range for this role is between $99,000 and $116,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 11/11/2026.
