Job summary

Charter Global is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA for remote collaboration to support Oracle Fusion and OIC environments in enterprise production systems. The role emphasizes high availability, performance, security, and operational excellence.

You will manage OCI, RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, and GoldenGate, implement automation, monitor with OEM, and participate in change control and patching in a contract spanning 9 months+.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Applications and OIC.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments for stability and performance.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and meet SLAs for critical systems.
• Implement backups/restore strategies and disaster recovery readiness.
• Apply patches/upgrades, coordinate maintenance, ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor health, tune performance, secure databases, automate routine tasks.

Job description

Job Title: Oracle DBA

Location: Remote/ WFH

Duration: 9 months+ contract

Seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with strong OCI expertise to support and optimize Oracle Fusion and OIC environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational excellence in enterprise production systems.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience (11g/12c/19c+), including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and operational support.
• Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI); Azure experience is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting Oracle Fusion Applications and Oracle Incentive Compensation (OIC), including database monitoring, performance tuning, and compensation processing support.
• Strong knowledge of RMAN, disaster recovery, Data Guard, RAC, GoldenGate, and highly available production environments.
• Expertise in performance tuning, database security, monitoring tools (OEM), scripting/automation, and enterprise change management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments to ensure stability, availability, and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, resolve performance issues, and meet operational SLAs for mission-critical systems.
• Implement and maintain backup/recovery strategies, perform recovery testing, and support disaster recovery readiness.
• Apply patches and upgrades, coordinate maintenance activities, validate system stability, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor database health, tune performance, manage security controls, automate routine DBA tasks, and support high-availability configurations.
