Responsibilities

• Transport patients between units, PAU and OR.
• Move specimens and blood products to the lab and OR.
• Transport sterile trays, instruments, and equipment to OR rooms.
• Inspect sterile package integrity and storage conditions.
• Handle radioactive supplies and biohazard waste according to policy.
• Assist in cleaning OR rooms during turnover.
• Prepare for surgical cases and open disposables and trays.
• Position patients and set up OR equipment for procedures.
• Limit traffic in OR to reduce contamination.
• Perform preoperative shave preps as needed.
